Stepping into the Moroccan
style courtyard of this elegant 300 year old mansion,
you enter a world of tranquility, luxury and history.
Restored first in 1985 and just recently in November of 2005, this
7,000 sq. ft. residence, all on one level, is one of only four major
properties in San Miguel with its original four-sided columned
loggia courtyard intact. It is two short blocks from the
Jardin/Town Center and San Miguel’s finest restaurants, shops and
sights.
The stately authentic interiors have been re-imagined and
re-decorated…with a mix of Colonial antiques and stunning
contemporary art and furnishings.
There are five Bedroom Suites, all with fireplaces and adjoining
private baths, which sleep a total of nine guests: three bedrooms
have King size beds; one has twin beds and one has a double bed.
Public rooms include: a stunning formal Living Room; a magnificent
Library with large-screen TV; Media room with giant TV; a grand
Dining Room with a 35’ high domed ceiling; and a new Breakfast
Room...all of these rooms have fireplaces and 20’ high wood beam
ceilings.
Brand new to the Casa are a Solarium, with custom lounge furniture;
a newly installed Garden with palm trees; the newly installed heated
Pool with an antique Chorro water-spout; a newly paved and furnished
outdoor Lounge area and a remodeled Kitchen.
A newly built stone staircase rises to the Roof Terrace with new
custom built-in seating that affords vistas of the countryside on
one side - and the steeples and domes of the nearby Cathedral on the
other. A sixth beautifully decorated bedroom with a single bed and
bath/shower is located on the revamped Roof Terrace level. The Casa
has internet service and our Major Domo can facilitate shopping,
dining, sightseeing and airport car service.
San Miguel de Allende is a Historic Colonial Site, an hour and 20
minutes by car from either the Leon/Guanajuato or the Queretero
airport, with direct flights from the USA.
28 Cuadrante’s staff consists of an English-speaking Major Domo plus
a Chef, Maid and Gardener…all ready to graciously welcome the
discriminating world traveler to this lovely city of myriad sights
and delights.
